Since Beyoncé first launched the frenzy in her "Kitty Kat" video, the leopard print eyeshadow craze spawned a slew of copy-cat tutorials featuring young makeup ingenues.
Though some may have this complex blend of fantastical and glam eye look down to a science, the rest of us may not be so lucky.
The people over at ColorOn created, basically, press-on eyeshadows!
No more fiddling with your brushes to get the perfect smoky-eye look.
Gone are the days on scribbling little leopard spots on your upper lids.

Steal The Look: Kimora Lee at Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala

This past weekend, the stars came out for the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. The theme this year was Superheroes and Kimora Lee Simmons went all out. She wore a unique multi-hued, Jubilee-inspired gown with the matching eyewear that brought out the best of her uniquely shaped eyes. I tried my hardest to emulate this look and capture it with my cheap camera. A few of the items I have are no longer in production, so I've matched them with items I know are still around and work just as well.

Prep Canvas:

• I rubbed Smashbox Starlight Photofinish(discontinued) allover my face [Try Napoleon Perdis Retouch] .
• Applied two coats of concealer (I have very dark circles) around the upper lid and under eyes: Stila Eye Concealer in Bronze (discontinued) and M.A.C. Select Cover-up in NC50.
• Applied M.A.C. Shape And Sculpt in Warm Light/Definitive to contour bridge of nose, then M.A.C. Sheer Tone Blush in Peachtwist on the apples of my cheeks.
• Used M.A.C. Studio F/X in NC 50 for spot coverage (around nose, chin and forehead, as well as pimples).

Step One: The Lips


Apply lipstick first :Maybelline wet Shine in Flushed (discontinued) You may use Sephora Lip Attitude in Pink Carress and added M.A.C. Dazzleglass in Baby Sparks as a top coat.

Step Two: The Eyes



Contour eyes with L'Oreal Wear Infinite in Rich, then smeared Smashbox Single Shadow in 24 Carat.



I applied M.A.C. Pigment in Bell-Bottom Blue and Submarine on the rim of the lower eyelid. I recommend you get heavy-handed with it and and blend all the way to where the eyes and nose meet.



ow, I used a second coat with black eyeliner (Lancome Precision Point Artliner in Noir), but focused on the outer portion of lower lid. Then, I applied a coat of black liner to the lash line on upper lid, bringing liner all the way to the edge of lower eyelid. I used one swipe of Maybelline XXL Volume + Length and patted the lashes so they won't clump (this mascara is old now).

Chanel To Launch Cosmetics Line

Chanel is set to launch a new color cosmetics collection in Fall 2008, the company's first line launched under Peter Philips, the house’s new creative director of makeup. Philips, who replaced Dominique Moncourtois and Heidi Morawetz in January, has decided to use gold as a major theme for his first collection. The collection, due on counter in July, includes a nail polish, a loose powder that reads on the skin as a subtle glow, a lip gloss, various lipsticks and a quad eye shadow palette with gold, coffee, ivory and dark green eye colors.

How Does She Get Her Look? Erykah Badu-Annie

I was up at 4 A.M (on the dot) because insomnia's tearing me apart. Now, normally I don't do this (talk about my personal life, that is) but... a particular Q.T. (short for Quite Taste-taay, ow!) was on my mind so the thoughts ravished me head until I had no choice but to hop out of this slumber of mine. Overactive imaginations, coupled by a Lavender button downs and shoulder-length dreads keeps me with bags under me eyes. And don't forget the belt. I love a thick, brown leather belt. Purrr! Nonetheless (before this post gets wild-- Safari-style.) VH1 Soul--one of my fave channels since 2001-- was playing reruns of Soul Stage. This time they showcased Miss Erykah Badu, the famous Southern Belle gone horribly Nubian, corrupting all that is lacy, pristine and born below the Mason-Dixon line. Every time this song comes on I flip because its hilarious and it exemplifies a side of Erykah that drives us to the store for her latest--sassy to where you wanna give her a giant hug and a quick spank of the butt. SKorean cosmetics maker to halt Nazi ad

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — A South Korean cosmetics company said Wednesday it will halt an ad campaign with Nazi references following complaints from a leading anti-Semitism group and the Israeli Embassy in Seoul.

The Coreana Cosmetics Co. decided Tuesday to withdraw the television ad for a skin lotion to prevent further controversy, company spokesman Kim Yoon-ho said.

I personally would like to try this product, especially after having a bad experience with Bigen powder. Bigen does not strengthen your hair and its in no way organic. I also heard the Bigen powder dyes really should not be used on hair after recently receiving a touch-up. I forgot the reasons why, but I will do research on the product and post it here.

If you already have hair that is colored and want a more holistic way to retain your color longer, I've listen some more products you can try, such as pomades and shampoos.
